Film Highlight | Riders of Justice
From Hannibal to The Hunt and from Arctic to Another Round Mads Mikkelsen is probably one the most versatile actors out there! The Danish performer returns to the silver screen next week as he takes over the role of Gellert Grindelwald in 'Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore' - which is being touted as the best in the series so far, with Mads being called a 'huge upgrade'. That isn't the least bit surprising considering his ability to effortlessly hop, skip and jump from one genre to the other. With 'Riders of Justice', the Dane joins a group of misfits in an action packed comedy revenge thriller as they try to hunt down the gang responsible for his wife's death. Streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

TV Highlight | Pachinko
Apple TV is on a roll! They've just made history by being the first streaming platform to win an Academy Award for Best Movie with CODA (which needs to be on your list) and are consistently churning out off beat films and shows with some of the best talent the industry has on offer. With Pachinko, the platform has added another gem to their collection. "Based on the New York Times bestseller, this sweeping saga chronicles the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations as they leave their homeland in an indomitable quest to survive and thrive." Adapting the sprawling epic was by no means a walk in the park, but Kogonada's and Justin Chon's stylistic sensibilities conjure up a thoughtful and stunning work of art.

Documentary Highlight | Notturno
"Filmed over three years on the borders between Iraq, Kurdistan, Syria, and Lebanon, this documentary captures everyday life in the aftermath of tyranny, invasions and terrorism." 'Notturno' is a sweeping poetic achievement that highlights the futility of war. Devoid of any kind of commentary, the film relies on its evocative visuals to drive its point home. Streaming on MUBI.
